Which Scheduled Email Trigger should I use?

Triggers are used to initiate the sending of a Scheduled Email and are based on the date of a specific action. Depending on the type of Scheduled Email that you want to send will determine the Trigger to use. Once you have selected the Trigger to use, learn how to create scheduled emails.

Notes

Emails with Attendee or Itinerary in the name are sent to different groups of people based on the type of Trigger.

  • Attendee – Sends one email per Registation to the email address of the Admin who registered the Attendee.
    • If the email is configured to send to Events with Group Registrations, the Group Admin will receive one email per Attendee. If you would like for the parents of each attendee to receive the email instead of the group leader, contact Support and we can modify the trigger.
  • Itinerary – Send one email per Itinerary to the email address of the Admin who created the Itinerary.
Auditing with Query

If you would like to see who the email will potentially send to before enabling a Scheduled Email, follow these steps:

  1. Look up the query in the list below in CT6.
  2. Enter the same parameters in the query that you have set in the Delivery Options.
  3. Run the query to see the results if the query was sent now.

  • Trigger Date – The date used to initiate the Trigger.
  • Query – Query that is used to pull the results used for the Trigger.
  • Delivery Options – Parameters for the query that limit which customers the email is sent to.
