This past weekend, we experienced a DDOS attack against our Registration Sites using HTTP. We successfully rejected all malicious attempts to access our site and the perpetrators were not able to bypass our security.
To encourage the perpetrators to move on, we made a decision to temporarily disable HTTP access on your Registration Site. This would have prevented your customers from accessing your Registration Site if you are using HTTP links on your marketing website. However, any links using HTTPS would have allowed your customers to access your Registration Site without disruption.
In light of this weekend’s events, our recommended best practice is to always set your Pre-Filter Links to use HTTPS when directing customer to your marketing site.
