How do I setup an ACH processor?

The Setting Up ACH Processor video shows how to set up the fields in the ACH payment processor section to ensure that you can process electronic checks for submission to an online portal. Please note that you must set up an ACH processor account FIRST with your bank or a third-party processor before you can use this section.

0:00 – 0:55: Explaining what you have to do first before performing setup

2:45 – 4:15: Entering your processor ID information (routing number, originator ID, and company identification number)

Configuration Terms

Bank Name – Your bank’s name (for internal use)

Processor Routing Number – Often the same as your bank routing number

Bank Account Name – For internal use only (ie: Registration Account, Store Account, etc)

Company Identification # – Usually your taxpayer ID

Process Originator ID – Get from your bank

Processor website – Web address to log into bank (ie: www.bankofamerica.com)

Unbalanced ACH File – Does not require a corresponding credit to be shown for every debit. The default setting is “Balanced”

Balancing entry uses a Standard Class Entry Code of CCD (instead of PPD) – Ask your bank which one you need
