What is a Resource Category?

Definition

A resource category is a classification option that you create to group together similar resources. Every resource must have a resource category (which you define), and each resource category will have a resource type (which CircuiTree defines.) It lets you classify your resources in ways that make sense for your organization like grouping your housing into basic and premium options or defined housing areas, keeping your activities distinct (e.g., field sports v. water sports v. general recreation), or managing your equipment (e.g., AV equipment v. rock-climbing equipment.)

Examples

  • Wilderness housing area
  • AV Equipment
  • Deluxe Housing
  • Water Activities
